Exfoliating Your Lips

Having soft lips would be great, but not everyone is born with nice and smooth lips. Cracked and dry lips are awful to deal with, and getting them back to being smooth can be quite a task. However, do not fret. There are ways to deal with this by using products you already have at home – and if you ensure you follow all the steps meticulously everyday, you will soon be the proud owner of a fabulously smooth pair of lips.

Remember, the best time to carry out any kind of treatment on your lips is before bedtime. Take a clean washcloth and wet it with warm water. Next, with your index finger placed inside the washcloth use it to rub your lips slowly and carefully. This should be good enough to remove any kind of dirt or loose skin on your lips.
Next, take an old toothbrush; make sure it is one that comes with soft bristles. Place a tiny bit of Vaseline on it and brush your lips softly and gently. This is a great exfoliator and it will remove any remaining traces of dead skin. This also works as a precursor to the treatment that your lips are about to get.

Once you have cleaned your lips, then take a little bit of Vaseline and apply it on your lips. Make sure you do this just before you go to sleep. Keep doing this every night until your lips go back to being soft and smooth. Once they get to that stage, then you can carry out this Vaseline treatment every other day or however often you think it necessary.
