How to Reduce Dark Circles

Dark circles are the last thing you need. They are unattractive and make you look tired. Even worse, they go hand in hand with puffed eyes as well as creases around them that you could do without. How do you get rid of dark circles? There seem to be numerous treatments you can try at home; unfortunately most of them do not seem to work. Here are some that will:

Treatment #1: Use a gentle cleanser on your face and then pat it dry. Next, place wet tea bags right under your eyes for about ten minutes. This brightens up the area under your eye, and lightens the skin as well. For best results, do this in the morning.

Treatment #2: Mix some honey and almond oil together and then start from the outer edge of the skin under your eye, and massage it in slowly. Keep massaging it for around five minutes. Do this at night. It not only softens the skin but strengthens it as well.

Treatment #3: Drink lots of water. Dark circles under the eye are said to be due to an iron deficiency, also referred to as anemia. Dehydration can also cause dark circles. Start taking an iron supplement daily.

Treatment #4: If you are in a rush, and do not have time for any of these, here is a quick-fix method. Dab a bit of moisturizer under the eyes and let it be for around five minutes. Then apply a very thin layer of foundation and keep it light. Dust some concealing powder once you are done and then it will look fine.
