America has been always been thought to be a country of diversity. And think about it, America has mountains, beaches, valleys, deserts, and assortment of different people, different ways of life, religion, and values. When someone said they were from a particular area, it meant something. A woman growing up in Mississippi was guaranteed to be different from a girl who grew up in California. But that is slowly changing. Most places are graced with an online department store, a Starbucks, and a McDonalds. Nothing is too unique anymore. The diversity of America is slowly diminishing.
Women walk with their peg perego strollers up and down the street, to get exercise, to show off their babies, or their fancy stroller. Men fix their dinner in sharp microwaves, not bothering to really cook anything more elaborate. Home cooked meals are a thing of the past. And if dinner is not being provided by a microwave, a dozen fast food restaurants can be accessed anywhere in America within a short drive. Gyms are equipped with a treadmill, fitness quest eclipse, and a bike, and people go after work to burn off their calories from lunch. People don’t want to be fat. But alas, obesity is the largest epidemic in America, so gyms may not be that regularly visited. Still, every town has one. Society is slowly becoming the same. Places in America are slowly but surely starting to resemble each other. There are no more ma and pa shops, no more Sunday walks in the park, no more individuality. Everything is the same.
